Robert L. "Bobby" Plotner Jr., age 47, of La Porte, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2015.
Robert was born in La Porte, IN on January 28, 1968 to Robert Plotner, Sr. and Carolyn S. (Stone) Glancy.
In September of 1991, he found the love of his life and his companion, Pamela Grott. Bobby and Pam had two children , Briana Grott-Plotner, Raymond Grott of La Porte and step-son, Jimmy Grott of Michigan. Also surviving are his mother, Carolyn Glancy; brother, Jeff (Kelly) Glancy of Michigan City; grandmothers, Gladys Stone (Special) of Knox, IN, and Lola Bailey of La Porte; one sister-in-law, Kathleen Plotner; many friends, aunts, nephews, and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Plotner, Sr.; his brother, Thomas A. Plotner; and his beloved grandfathers, Thomas W. Stone and Alfred Plotner.
Bobby went on to get his GED and also his Class A CDL License. He worked as a semi-driver. He loved driving them. Bobby was a people person and made friends easily. He will be missed by many but his memory lives on through them.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 6 PM on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. A time of visitation will be held from 4 PM until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
