Robert E. Tyskie, 61, of Mill Creek, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at IU Health La Porte Hospital.

Robert was born in La Porte, IN, on January 4, 1956 to Felix and Lucille (King) Tyskie.

On January 4, 2003 in La Porte, he married Janice Bosserman who survives. Also surviving are his beloved son, Allen Bosserman of Kingsford Heights; grandchildren, Jada, Jordyn, and Jaklyn Bosserman; sister, Susan (Alan) Parsons of La Porte; brother, Charles (Rachel) Tyskie of Michigan City; sister-in-law, Susan Levenhagen of La Porte; nieces, Sandra Kay (Tom) Hill, Hanna Hill, Carrie Levenhagen; nephews, Donald A. (Tess) Heichel, II, Scott (Tara) Parsons, Walter (Ashley) Tyskie; 11 great nephews, 7 great nieces; aunt, Naomi Ainsley; and 4 cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and niece, Angela McElroy.

Robert was a 20 year club member at Modine Manufacturing. He worked also as Union Steward and Treasurer. After Modine closed Bob farmed at Cuson Farms. He enjoyed gardening, maintaining his 14 acre homestead, and helping people.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Terry McKinney officiating. Burial will follow the service at Kingsbury Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Thursday, February 2, 2017 and also from 10 AM until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the La Porte Salvation Army Food Pantry, 3240 Monroe Street, La Porte, IN 46350.
