Rodney H. Dillon

Rodney H. Dillon, 70, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away on October 6, 2023, at his home, where he was surrounded by his loving family.

Rodney was born on May 5, 1953, in Charleston,WV to Darwin Dillon and Nora (Pettry) Bannwart.

On November 5, 1977, in La Porte, IN, he married Carol Beattie who survives. Also surviving are his 3 children, Jackie (Jason) Kaminski of La Porte, Nickholas (Jamie) Dillon of La Porte, and Corey (Meagan) Dillon of Riverview, FL; 4 beloved grandchildren, Rylie and Jaxon Kaminski, Emma Dillon, and Camden Dillon; brother, Terry (Nancy) Dillon; 2 nephews, Scott (Lindsey) Dillon and Bill (Sarah) Dillon; and special dogs, Smokie and Ellie.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Rodney was an owner operator truck driver for many years.  He loved fast cars and boats.  Rodney looked forward to the winter season when he could snowmobile with his children.  Most importantly, Rodney enjoyed his family and the memories created with them.

A  Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Door Village Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Meyer officiating.  Following the service, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Dillon home.
