Roger was married September 3, 1955 in Scottsburg, IN. to Gladys Mae Crum who preceded him in death October 5, 2005.
Roger was a graduate of Richland Twp. High School in Ellettsville, IN. He worked as a Boilermaker and retired from Pipe fitters Union #597 in 1993. He was a member of Galena Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and Officer. He also worked on many remodeling projects. Roger had his Private Pilot's License and loved to fly. He loved Carpentry and teaching his grandchildren something new all the time. He had a special nickname for all of his grandchildren. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.
