Roger Dale Kahn, 59 years old of Michigan City, IN, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012 at his home.
He was born on April 9, 1953 in Michigan City, son of the late Norman Kahn and Elizza (Funk) Kahn who survives.
Roger was married to Dianna Morris and had a daughter, Tanya. He worked in the food service industry most of his life including Jim's Fiesta, Parry's Bakery, Beachwood Restaurant and co-owned Designs in Cake Bakery. Roger enjoyed tinkering around on many projects especially when it involved working outside in the yard.
Roger is survived by his life partner: Michael Fazekas of Michigan City; daughter: Tanya Bice (Jasen Simmons) of Michigan City; brothers: Gary (Kay) Kahn of Michigan City, Alfred (Kim) Kahn of LaPorte; sister: Roxana (Ty) Murray of LaPorte; grandsons: Steven Bice and Nathaniel Simmons of Michigan City; nieces: Angela Wallen of Noblesville, IN, Stephanie Kahn of Woodstock, GA, Ashley Kahn of Michigan City, Angie Murray, Patricia Murray both of LaPorte, nephews: Michael Pape of LaPorte, and Dustin Pape of LaPorte.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents; nephews: Staff Sgt. Eric W. Wallen and Daniel Murray.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place on Sunday, May 6, 2012 from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the Cummings Lodge, Soldiers Memorial Park, Waverly Rd, LaPorte. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, LaPorte, IN.
