Ronald A. Borders, 69 years old of La Porte, IN, died at 9:53 P.M. Thursday, December 11, 2008 at the Countryside Golden Living Center, LaPorte, Indiana .
He was born Tuesday, April 4, 1939 in LaPorte, Indiana, Son of the late Allen R. Borders and the late Irene E. (Abrahams) Borders.
He was a member of Union Local #81. He Attended First Baptist Church of LaPorte. He worked as a Construction Worker. He was a free spirit, loved motorcycles and was everybody's friend.
Surviving are 1 Sister, Gloria (Scott) Krenzke of La Porte, Son, James Anthony Barenthin of LaPorte, 2 Granddaughters, Raea and Paige, 4 Step Children, 4 Nieces, and 1 Nephew.
He was preceded in death by his Parents and 1 Brother, James Borders.
There will be no visitation. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday December 20, 2008 at First Baptist Church, Hargrave fellowship Center with Rev. Doug Baker officiating. Cremation has taken place. Cutler Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Private Services were held at Pine Lake Cemetery.
