Ronald L. "Ron" Gladden, 71 years old of La Porte, IN, died Tuesday, January 18, 2011 in La Porte Hospital
He was born on August 15, 1939 in LaPorte, IN., to the late Ernest & Irene (Probst) Gladden.
Ronald was a retired Building Trades, Millwright he was a member of the Millwright Local 1043 and was a Die Hard Cubs and I.U. fan.
Ronald was married on February 1, 1964 in LaPorte to Peggy (Noel) Gladden who survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Lynn (Richard) Bowen of Woodbridge, Virginia; 2 grandchildren, Anthony Bowen of Ft. Riley, Kansas, Rachel Bowen of Orlando, Fl; brothers, John (Cheryl) Gladden of Lafayette, IN., Greg (Gloria) Gladden of Lexington, IN; sister, Marcia Sheridan of Granger, Indiana, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bob Gladden; sister, Carol Strauch and Joan Gladden.
There will be a time of visitation on Sunday, January 23, 2011 from 2:00 - 5:00 P.M. at Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, IN.
A graveside service will take place privately at Pine Lake Cemetery.
