Ronald LeRoy Menke, 78 years old, of La Porte, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Memorial Hospital of South Bend.
Ronald was born in La Porte, IN, on November 22, 1939 to Eric Otto and Mable Irene (Taylor) Menke.
On April 12, 1969, he married Penny L. Malott who survives in La Porte. Also surviving are his beloved children, Kevin (Lisa) Menke of La Porte and Jennifer Lusby of Fishers, IN; step-son, Cary Thomas of La Porte; brother, Richard (Sharon) Menke of Michigan City; and sister, Alice (Dana) Achor of Ft. Wayne; 12 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Marge Nowfel, Vera Greenleaf, Betty Krause, Jean Strzalkowski, and Doris Strawkowski.
Ronald worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Local #150. He enjoyed spending time at the casino, bowling, and most of all spending time with his family and grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 PM (CST) on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
A time of visitation will be held from 12 - 3 PM (CST) on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
