Ronald Franklin Rogers, 71, of La Porte, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Franciscan Hospice Communities in Michigan City.
Ron was born on June 3, 1944 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Harry Franklin and Rebecca (Grindle) Rogers.
On May 31, 2008, he married Dixie Lee Harmon who preceded him on January 22, 2015. Surviving are his beloved children, Owen Ray Rogers and Heather Renee Rogers, both of Kokomo; stepchildren, Debra (Ricardo) Rodriquez, Michael (Miriam) Sullivan, Ronald (Brenda) Sullivan, Ralph (Carol) Gee, Jr., and Cathy Gee; grandchild, Stormy Burch; and step grandchildren, Bridget Gee, Shawn Sullivan, Ralph Gee, III, Cindy Sullivan, Michael Sullivan, II, and Maryssa Rodriguez. He was preceded by his parents and loving wife.
Ronald was an US Army veteran. He worked in Kokomo, IN, for Kokomo Springs, Cannon Valley, and retired from Chrysler Corporation. Ron enjoyed his pets, feeding wildlife, being outside, riding motorcycles in his younger days, and motorcycling with the Good Ol' Boys Club in Kokomo.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11am on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Rev. Larry Owen officiating. Burial will follow at Door Village Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held from 9 until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
