Rosemary Rucker, 90 years old, of Fort Wayne, IN, formerly of LaPorte, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2012 at Arbor Glen Retirement Community in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
She was born February 1, 1922 in Chicago, IL, daughter of the late George and Helen (Drauschke) Chor.
Rosemary was born and raised in Chicago and moved to LaPorte in 1949. She then moved to Ft. Wayne in 2011. She married Eugene "Duke" I. Rucker in New York during World War II in 1943. He preceded her in death in 2006. She loved her children and grandchildren, nieces and nephews, playing duplicate bridge, reading, swimming and skating.
Surviving are her son, Gregory G. Rucker, and daughter, Judith J. (David) Sorg; grandchildren, Amy M. (Rucker) Banner and Phillip J. Rucker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene I. Rucker, two brothers, Ralph Chor and George Chor, and a sister, Elsye (Chor) Basselen.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will take place at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 9, 2012, with visitation from 1-2 p.m. at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center in LaPorte. Burial will follow in Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, IN.
