Ruby Shriver, 83, of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 10:20 a.m. on Friday, August 19, 2005 at LaPorte Hospital.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23, at the Roseland Cemetery in Francesville, Indiana. A private family visitation will be held at Cutler Funeral Home.
Ruby was born February 22, 1922 in Jasper County, Indiana to Raymond & Grace (Hartley) Graham. On November 19, 1939, in Francesville, she married Edgar P. Linback, who preceded her in death April 27, 1957. On May 16, 1959, also in Francesville, she married Frank LeRoy Shriver, who preceded her in death April 9, 2003.
Survivors include sisters Ann Snow of Rensselaer, IN, Betty Wireman of Mystic, IA, Shirley Wilda of Union Mills, IN and Lorene Musgrave of LaPorte; brother Kenneth Graham of North Judson, IN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by brothers Billy & Robert Graham.
Ruby had worked at Smolers, American Home Foods, the LaPorte YMCA, Knox Casting in Knox and she had retired from the Mill Creek Post Office.
She had been a member of the Rensselaer VFW Auxiliary #1279 since 1959.
Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
