Russell Raymond Birch, 43, LaPorte, died at 2:53 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 14, 2004) at LaPorte Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. There is no visitation. Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, handled the arrangements.
Mr. Birch was born July 1, 1960, in Terre Haute to John Raymond Sr. and Alice (Boyer) Birch. His mother survives in Evansville as Alice Coy.
Survivors include one son, Ryan Raymond Birch, Greenfield, Ind.; one daughter, Cora Beth Birch, LaPorte; one grandson, Tyler Zachery McCallister, LaPorte; and three brothers, Larry Birch, Carlinville, Ill., Bruce (Stephanie) Coy, Fort Branch, Ind., and Brian (Kim) Coy, Evansville,
He was preceded in death by his father, who died in 1996; one brother, John Birch Jr., who died in 1994; his grandmother and great-grandmother, Rosemary Wilson and Beatrice Myles, respectively; and his grandfather, Paul Boyer.
Mr. Birch was a sheet-metal worker for A&A Sheet Metal of LaPorte and an auto detailer for Keller's Car Wash of LaPorte.
