LaPORTE - Russell Rusty Miller, 77, LaPorte, died at 12:10 a.m. Tuesday (July 15, 2003) at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, Ind.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at 130 Country Club Drive, LaPorte. Cremation has taken place. Anyone who would like to pay their respects to the family may do so between noon and 4 p.m. Sunday at 130 Country Club Drive. Arrangements were handled with Cutler Funeral Home.
He was born Sept. 26, 1925, in Decatur, Ill., to Harry Alpha and Mary Ester (Crist) Miller. On Sept. 23, 1966, he married Norene Herbst, who died May 4, 2002.
Survivors include seven sons, Michael (Peggy) Miller, Clovis, Calif., Timothy Ory and Keith (Stephanie) Ory, both of Fresno, Calif., Kevin (Carol) Ory, Columbus, Ohio, Robert (Patty) Nesmith, Dallas, Edward (Jane) Nesmith, Lafayette, Ind., and Keith (Kathy) Nesmith, Oahu, Hawaii; one daughter, Deborah Miller, Vacaville, Calif.; one brother, Howard Miller, Lebanon, Mo.; and 22 grandchildren.
Mr. Miller had worked at the sales counter at Light House Electrical Supply. He served as a Navy Signalman during World War II.
