Ruth Charlotte Bachmann, 86 years old of La Porte, IN, passed away Thursday August 6, 2009 in La Porte Hospital.
She was born December 30, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois, Daughter of the late Theodore Nuoffer and Amanda Nuoffer (Vieth)
She was a member of Tri-Kappa, Beachwood Women's Golf League, VNA Volunteer, American Red Cross Volunteer, Bethany Lutheran Church - Choir, Rebecca Circle, Quilters, Service Ministry Team and Bullitin Team. She was a Financial Secretery for the Bethany Lutheran Foundation. She worked as a Service Representative for Man Power.
She married Oct. 22, 1949 in Michigan City to Robert A. Bachmann who preceded her in death March 1, 2009
Surviving are 2 sons; Steve (Kimberley Huff) Bachmann of Granger, IN., Jay Bachmann of Barlett, IL., daughter; Jill (Douglas) Bensing of Arlington Heights, IL., 6 grandchildren, 1 sister; Belle Branoff of Chesterton, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a dtr-in-law, Carol Q. Bachmann who passed away on January 20, 1996.
A Private Family service will be held at Cutler Funeral Home on Monday, August 10, 2009 with Rev. Dennis Meyer officiating. Friends may join the family for a luncheon at 12:00 P.M. Monday, August 10, 2009 at Betheny Lutheran Church.
Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
