Ruth Howe, 89, of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2005, at LaPorte Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, at Cutler Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Ohime officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. There will be a private family burial in the Evergreen Park Cemetery in Evergreen Park, IL.
Ruth was born May 20, 1916, in Chicago to George and Anna (Sack) Potter. In 1940, in Chicago, she married Arthur Howe, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are sons Kenneth Howe of Osceola, FL and Richard Howe of St. Charles, IL; 2 grandsons; a great-granddaughter; sisters Doris Kottman of Springfield, VA and Shirley Lux of LaPorte; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eight brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Ruth had retired from Marshall Fields in Chicago after 25 years of service.
Memorials may be made to the Continuing Care Floor of LaPorte Hospital.
