Scott A. Yelton, 57, of La Porte, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at his home.
Scott was born in La Porte, IN, on October 1, 1959 to Paul Edwin and Delores M. (Cripe) Yelton.
On October 14, 1995 in Walkerton, IN, he married Cheryl Peterson who survives. Also surviving are his son, Paul (Angie) Yelton of Walkerton; 2 daughters, Jessica and Lisa Gipson of La Porte; 10 grandchildren; father, Paul Yelton; and 2 sisters, Nancy (Paul) Martin of Bourbon, IN, and Paula (Dennis) Metz of Walkerton. He was preceded in death by his mother and granddaughter, Areanna Briggs.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 pm (CST) on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Salem Chapel United Methodist Church, 2802 E. State Road 4, La Porte.
