Sharon Rose Gregoire Johnson, 50, of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 10:36 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2005 at LaPorte Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, at the LaPorte First Church of God with Dr. Joe Seaborn officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Cutler Funeral Home and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery.

Sharon was born June 2, 1954 in Grand Forks, ND to Robert Phillip & Veronica Rose (Brohman) Gregoire. On February 18, 1989, she married Monte Wayne Johnson, who survives.

Survivors also include daughter Vanessa Rose Johnson, at home; her mother of Grand Forks; brothers Robert (LeighAnn) Gregoire of Bismarck, ND and Bruce (Peggy) Gregoire of Thompson, ND; sisters Judy (Truman) Bratteli of Grand Forks, Rita (James) West of Thompson, Valerie (Kent) Krogstad of Hatton, ND, Janice (Dale) Troitte of Mayville, ND, Irene (Bruce) Olin of Dickinson, ND and Tami (Eric) Thoreson of Zimmerman, MN. Her father preceded her in death.

Sharon had been employed as secretary for Senator DeConcini of Arizona at the Dirkson Building in Washington, DC, with Sheyenne Electric in Finley, ND and at other offices in Bismarck, ND and Corpus Christi, TX. She was also a school bus driver in Corpus Christi and in LaPorte.

She had graduated from Thompson High School in Thompson, ND. She attended Wahpeton, ND School of Science and the University of North Dakota College of Business. She was a member of the LaPorte First Church of God. She enjoyed working on the farm, playing basketball and tennis, snowmobiling, motorcycle riding and studying the Bible. She was musically gifted, playing the guitar, composing music and singing She dedicated much of her music to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
