Sheila Mae (Lowery) Curley

Sheila Mae Curley, 69, of La Porte, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at her home peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.

Sheila was born on December 14, 1952 in La Porte, IN, to Forrest Lamar Lowery and Marvel (Dickson) Padgett.

On November 27, 1971, in Michigan City, IN, she married Michael Curley who survives.  Also surviving are her children, Yvonne (Steve) Mueller of La Porte, Angie (Rob) Hugley of Michigan City,  Michael (Tomomi) Curley II of Michigan City, David Curley of La Porte, and John (Rachel) Curley of Plymouth; 6 grandchildren, Ross Esposito, Christian (Courtney) Hugley Petrosky, Brandon (Beth) Hugley, Dylan (Makenna) Hugley, Madison Pekofske and Kaylynn Curley; several siblings; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Forrest Lowery and Marvel Padgett; and son, Tracy Lowery.

Sheila was a homemaker and a God-fearing Christian. She enjoyed camping, BINGO, and jigsaw puzzles. Sheila loved Christmas and her family, especially her grandkids.  She had a great sense of humor and took delight in taking her dog, Rocky, on rides on the golf cart.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Truman Wingo officiating.  Burial will follow at Patton Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
