Stella "Weese" Louise Perkins, 74, of La Porte, IN, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Franciscan Health-Michigan City.
Weese was born on August 14, 1950, in Harriman, TN, to James and Virginia (Howard) Lee.
Surviving Weese are her children, James Perkins of La Porte, Sheila Perkins of Harriman, TN, Chance Young of La Porte, and Brandy (William) Loop of La Porte; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lucy (Buddy) Cox of Harriman, TN and Linda Hough of La Porte' brother, Jimmy (Mary) Lee of Osceola; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Weese was a core maker at Hiler Industries for many years. She enjoyed baking, reading, and crocheting.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A private family service will take place at a later date.
