Steve Lukac, 92 years old of LaPorte, IN, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2011 at Golden Living Center Fountainview Terrace.
He was born October 7., 1918 in Chicago, IL. to the late Paul and Anna (Kuhajda) Lukac.
He was married June 14, 1947 in Knox, Indiana to Louise (Okeley) Lukac who preceded him in death on October 25, 2009.
He was a US Army Veteran of WW II receiving 4 Bronze Stars, 1 Bronze Star Medal, 1 Bronze Arrowhead Medal and WW II Victory Medal, and was on the landing at Normandy Beach. He loved the Chicago Bulls, NASCAR, and the Chicago Cubs. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are 7 Sons: Raymond (Carol) Lukac of Kingsbury, IN, Thomas (Susan) Lukac of LaPorte, William (Peggy) Lukac of LaPorte, James Lukac of LaPorte, Steven Lukac, Jr. of Bennsenville, IL, Jerry (Tawnya) Lukac of LaPorte, and Robert Lukac of LaPorte,. 1 Bro; Emil (Joan) Medesi of North Judson. 12 Grandchildren: Matthew and Alisha Lukac, Joseph (Erica) Lukac and Kyle Lukac, Tyler Lukac, Heather Swanson, Jerry (Brandi) Lukac, Jr., Roberta (Lee) Mumaw, Kristie (Tim) McCormick, Tabitha Worthington, Josaiah Worthington and Shelly (Bruce) Dunfee. 9 Great Grandchildren: Dylan and Bailey Mumaw, Loren, Nickolas and Nathan Lukac, Ryan Dunfee, Jacob, Johnathan and Sara McCormick.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. at Cutler Funeral Home in LaPorte with Rev. Ron Devenport. There will be a time of visitation from 4-8 PM on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 and from Noon until the time of service on Wednesday at Cutler Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in the Kingsbury Cemetery. with Full Military by La Porte Honor Guard
