Steven L. Gray

Steven Lee Gray, 65, of Chesterton, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Porter Regional Hospital.

Steven was born in Valparaiso, IN, on October 11, 1953 to Frank and LaVonne (Bucher) Gray.

On August 2, 1988 in Breckenridge, CO, he married Carolyn Davis who survives.  Also surviving are his brothers, Lenny (Beth) Gray of La Porte and Gary (Cheryl) Gray of Humble, TX; brother-in-law, George (Lynn) Davis of La Porte; nieces and nephews, Nadine, Natali, Stephanie, Alexis, Hannah, Mary, and Elijah; stepmother, Louise Gray of La Porte; stepsister, Linda Hughes and her son, Tom, of Denton, TX; as well as his dog, Lucy, and cat, Rigby.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robbie Gray; and pets, Canaan, Albert, Maggie, Sadie, and Jojo.

Steven was in District Retail Management for several years with Transworld Music and Best Buy.  He had a passion for gardening, loved spending time with friends, playing sports, especially golf and softball, watching the Green Bay Packers, and listening to the Beatles.  Steven also enjoyed raising homing pigeons as a child.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 7 pm (CT) on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

A time of visitation will be held from 4 pm (CT) until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
