Steven E. Hicks, age 58, of La Porte, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Franciscan Hospice Communities in Michigan City.
Steven was born in Michigan City, IN, on March 11, 1956 to Joe Earl and Martha (Nelson) Hicks.
Surviving are his beloved children, sons, Christopher (Lisa) Hicks of La Porte, IN, and Shannon (Audrey) Hicks of Cape Coral, FL; daughter, Stacey (Bruce) Mosley of La Porte, IN; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Steven worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for several different companies throughout his life.
He enjoyed woodworking and drag racing with his friend, Joey Gauger.
A cremation committal has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 2-4 PM on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
