Steven "Steve" D. Wright, age 62, of Michigan City, passed away on October 2, 2013 at Franciscan St. Anthony Health.
He was born on June 1, 1951 in Terre Haute, IN, son of Jack and Rosalie (Noel) Wright.
He was a past Commander of the American Legion in Kingsford Heights. He was a United States Army Veteran based in Korea. He enjoyed golf, motorcycles, music, and playing guitar. Steve worked as an Electrician for IBEW #531.
Surviving are his mother, Rosalie Wright of La Porte; son, Jason (Kristine) Wright of La Porte; daughter, Stephanie (Josh) Jones of Michigan City; brothers, Dean (Linda) Wright of La Porte, John R. (Sue) Wright of Springboro, OH; brother-in-law, Jim Madison; grandchildren; Selous, Salina, Michael, and Morgan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Wright and sister, Joyce Madison.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, October 7, 2013 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. A time of visitation will be held from 2:00 - 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 6, 2013 and also from 9:30 AM until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Kingsbury Cemetery with full military honors.
