Susan Workman, 55, of LaPorte, entered eternal life on December 4, 2008 at her home. She was born January 11, 1953 in LaPorte, IN to John Philip & Elizabeth (Cockshott) Box . On March 2, 1996 she married Michael Workman who survives.
She is also survived by 2 Daughters: Mikayla Workman of LaPorte, Elizabeth (Andy) Hall of LaPorte; 2 Sons: David (Lindsey) Henning of LaPorte and Nicholas Henning of Austin, TX; Mother: Elizabeth Box of LaPorte; 4 Grandchildren: Dominic & Liliana Henning, James & Dylan Hall; 3 Brothers: Michael (Joy) Box of LaPorte, Phil (Paulette) Box of Michigan City and Jeff Box of LaPorte. She was preceded in death by her father: John Philip Box.
Susan was a 1971 Graduate of LaPorte High School. She worked as a secretary at Century 21, Pine Lake Realty. She was a dedicated homemaker and loving wife and mother. Susan was a member at Lambs Chapel, former PTA President at Park and Lincoln Elementary schools. Susan exemplified Christ's love to everyone she came in contact with. Always smiling, Susan had a kind word to say to everyone. She was patient, compassionate, and loved by many.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 8, 2008 at Lambs Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Jay Loucks officiating. There will be a time of visitation from 3-8 P.M. on Sunday at the Funeral Home and from 10-11 A.M. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery following the service.
