Tammy Blankenship, 57, of La Porte, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at her home surrounded by her closest loved ones.
Tammy was born in Cleveland, OH, on November 17, 1960 to Thomas Lee and Virginia Madge (Windsor) French.
On May 26, 1984 in Cleveland, OH, she married Johnny Ray Blankenship the 1st who preceded her in death. Surviving are her beloved children, April (William) Dick of La Porte and Johnny Blankenship III of La Porte; grandson, Tyson Martin of La Porte; brothers, Robert Zemerick of Parma, OH and Daniel French of North Olmstead, OH; sisters, Freda French of Cleveland, OH, and Debra French of Brooklyn, OH; best friend of 48 years, Connie Parsons; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnny Ray Blankenship; and son, Johnny Ray Blankenship II.
Tammy liked spending time with her daughter, April; her son, Johnny; and her grandson, Tyson. She also liked visiting her sisters and brother in Ohio. She liked going antique shopping. Her daughter April said that her mom was her best friend and her rock.
A time of visitation will take place from 10 AM until Noon on Saturday, January 27, 2018 with a time of sharing by family and friends at Noon on Saturday at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Cremation will take place afterwards.
