Terry "Paulie" Paul Levandoski

September 21, 1960 — March 23, 2025

Terry Paul "Paulie" Levandoski, 64, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Northwest Health-La Porte, surrounded by love.

Born on September 21, 1960, in La Porte, Paulie was the son of Thomas and Eleanor (Smith) Levandoski. From a young age, he was known for his big heart, larger-than-life personality, and his unwavering loyalty to those he loved.

On April 26, 1980, he married the love of his life, Kathi (Newton) Levandoski, and together they built a home filled with laughter, music, and unconditional love. Their 44 years together were a testament to devotion, partnership, and shared adventures.

Paulie was a proud and loving father to Josh Levandoski and Stu (Nicole) Levandoski, both of La Porte. He was also a devoted "Papa" to his beloved grandchildren: Jaden McBrian-Levandoski, Hailee, Lexi, and Jada Levandoski, who were the absolute light of his life.

He is also survived by many family members who meant the world to him, including his cousins Deb Levandoski, Deb Werner Levandoski, Mary Levandoski, Chris Levandoski, and Buck (Karen) Levandoski, who was more like a brother than a cousin; sisters-in-laws Gayle Newton, Deb Miller, and Dawn Blakeman; brother-in-law Gary (Lori) Gearheart. Paulie was blessed with an extended family of treasured friends: Chip and Angel Cable, Mike and Karen Warfel, Wayne Necessary, and Al Miller, all of whom shared countless laughs, stories, and memories over the years. And no remembrance of Paulie would be complete without mentioning his faithful four-legged companion, Tango, his beloved rescue dog.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Kerry Levandoski; and his cousins, Jimmy, Chip, and Hawkeye Levandoski, along with several aunts and uncles, all of whom he held close in his heart.

Paulie worked for many years in the Utility Department of the La Porte School Corporation, retiring in 2017 with the respect and admiration of his coworkers. After retirement, he found a second family and sense of purpose working part-time at JJ's Pizza Shack, a place he truly loved and where he built lasting friendships.

A die-hard Chicago Bears fan, Paulie bled orange and navy blue. His passion for music-especially Aerosmith-was something he shared with Kathi, as they loved going to concerts together, dancing and singing along. A lifelong NASCAR enthusiast, Paulie proudly camped at nearly every track across the United States, turning each race weekend into an unforgettable adventure with his camping crew. Camping with friends was more than a hobby-it was a passion, a tradition, and a way of life.

Paulie had a gift for making people feel at ease. Whether it was his quick wit, his stories, or his warm, welcoming presence, he made everyone feel like they belonged. His humor, generosity, and one-of-a-kind spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center in La Porte. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be announced at a later date, where family and friends will gather to share memories and honor the incredible life Paulie lived.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in care of Kathi Levandoski, 2900 Monroe St., La Porte, IN 46350.
