Thelma Jane (Bailey) Cole

Thelma Jane Cole, 72, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023 at Hamilton Communities, New Carlisle.

Thelma was born on June 5, 1951 in Pressenburg, KY to Noah and Maxie (Rice) Bailey.

Surviving Thelma are her 4 sons, Coon (Joyce) Cole of Magoffin County, KY, Noah (Jeanette) Cole of North Liberty, James Cole of Magoffin County, KY, and Charlie (Becky) Cole of Magoffin County, KY; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Mable Thorpe of Knox; brother, Charlie (Star) Bailey of Magoffin County, KY; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Junior and Kenneth; 3 sisters, Maudie, Betty, and Ethel; and brother-in-law, Terry Thorpe.

Thelma was a homemaker, who enjoyed the simple things in life.  She loved her church, Salyersville Trinity Full Gospel in KY, and her family.  Thelma will be fondly remembered as a loving sister, mother, and grandmother.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
