Theodore E. Emerick, 79, Walkerton, died at 12:10 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 21, 2003) at LaPorte Hospital.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Cutler Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Beversdorf officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from noon until the service Monday at the funeral home.
He was born Aug. 22, 1923, in South Bend, to William and Margaret (Moore) Emerick. On Aug. 28, 1948, in South Bend, he married Maxine Schoof, who survives.
Survivors also include one daughter, Vickie (Dennis) Jurcy, Walkerton; one son, Mark (Sue) Emerick, Fish Lake; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Irma Cox, Niles, Mich.
One brother, William Emerick Jr., also preceded Mr. Emerick in death.
Mr. Emerick had worked construction at E.M. Ulmer & Sons. He retired after working for 10 years at Allis Chalmers. Mr. Emerick was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 400 in Fish Lake.
