Theresa Hopper, 101, of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 6:20 p.m. on Sunday, February 13, 2005, at Countryside Place Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
A private family service will be held at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens in Michigan City, Indiana.
Theresa was born August 31, 1903, in Michigan City to Charles and Rose (Blank) Schmerling. On October 12, 1945, in LaPorte, she married Floyd F. Hopper, who preceded her in death on November 6, 1981.
Survivors include sons James Hart of LaPorte and Alden ?Chuck? (Jackie) Hopper of Michigan City; daughter, Marion Brady of Rolling Prairie, IN; grandchildren Dino & Johnny Hopper, Lisa Britten, Charles & Shawnee Beard, Reinie, Rick & Michelle Shippee, Laura Dalsgard and Sandra Brady; 30 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and son-in-law Richard Shippee of Rolling Prairie, IN.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynnette Shippee and 4 sisters.
Theresa was a homemaker and a member of the church of Jehovah's Witnesses.
