Theresa A. McFarland, 63, of La Porte, passed away early in the morning on Sunday, December 6, 2015.
She was born in Dyersburg, TN, on December 3, 1952 to John W. and Minnie L. (Southern) Gooch.
Theresa is survived by her beloved daughter, Toni (Chris) Day of La Porte, IN; four grandchildren, Brooke, Trevor, Austin, and Corissa; and two siblings, Thomas (Christine) Gooch of South Bend, IN and Johnna Gooch of La Porte, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Ethan Day.
The glue and heart of her family, she was, and is loved and cherished by all.
Theresa worked as an X-ray Technician at Alcoa Howmet in La Porte for over 27 years. She was loved by everyone who knew her and always maintained a positive attitude, despite any circumstances she faced. She will always be remembered fondly for her integrity, her sense of humor, and of course her smile.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 10 am. Rev. Dr. Rod Nielsen will officiate.
A time of visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Thursday, December 10, 2015 and from 9 AM until the time of service at the funeral home on Friday.
A cremation committal will take place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
