Thomas P. Duffin 56, of LaPorte, Indiana and formerly of Michigan City and Hobart passed away Friday, November 21, 2008 in Porter Memorial Hospital in Valparaiso, IN.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday Nov. 25, 2008 at the Cutler Funeral Home with Pastor Dwayne Hurt officiating. The family will receive friends from 3-7:00 PM on Tuesday. Burial will take place at a later time.
Tom was born March 23, 1952 in Gary, IN to the late Homer and Helen (Macy) Duffin. He was married May 6, 1972 in Hobart, IN. to Dawne Neibert Duffin who survives.
Tom was a loving father to Adam (Mindy), Jacob (Nicole), Tyler, Emily, Jonathan, & David Duffin. A loving Grandfather to Destiny, Evan, Logan, Jadin, Bailey, & Marie. A Sister; Patricia Scarbrough of Portage, IN. 2 Nieces; Tammy Mceuen & Jami Ott. 2 very special friends; Steve Cox & Ralph Lucas. He and Dawne opened their home to many foster children.
He was preceded in death by His Parents & a grandson; Ashton.
Worked for 39 years at Mittal Corp. as a scheduling clerk
Tom was a member of Lake Co. Officials Assoc., Army National Guard for 6 years, loved Golf, fishing in Canada, Disney World and especially his Grandchildren.
