Thomas Gregory Hammond, 18, of New Carlisle, Indiana, died at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at LaPorte Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, at Cutler Funeral Home with Nate Loucks officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in the Hamilton Grove Cemetery, New Carlisle.
Thomas was born July 11, 1986, in South Bend, Indiana to Don Hammond and Carolyn (VanBergen) Hammond Sherwood.
He is survived by his father, Don and two close brothers, Donald K. and Derek Hammond, all of New Carlisle, IN. He was loved by his mother and stepfather, Carolyn and Jack Sherwood of South Bend, IN. Thomas was also a beloved brother to Cathi Strickland of Elkhart, IN, Jami Hammond of LaPorte, IN and Brian Hammond of North Judson, IN. He was a loving uncle to his niece Brooke. Thomas was dear to many uncles, aunts and friends.
His grandparents preceded him in death.
