Thomas Raymond Sunn, 78, of La Porte, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021.
Thomas was born in Calhoun, KY, on November 23, 1942 to Charles Raymond and Cenia Lucille (Tomes) Sunn.
On December 29, 1995 in La Porte, IN, he married Glenna Watts-Hamilton who survives. Also surviving are his children, Roger Sunn, Tommy Sunn, Tracy (Mike Allen) Sunn, Brenda (Pat) Tuholski, Rhonda (Mike) Graves, and Sondra (James) Burlingame; 15 grandchildren, Ashley Rinker, Tyler Sunn, Jason Bazemore II, Savannah Bazemore, Caitlyn Tuholski, Natalie Tuholski, Justin Allen, Emily Graves, Devon Sunn, Brandon Allen, Cedar Stutzman, Ty Graves, Emersen Stutzman, Rebecca Tuholski, and Madelynn Allen; 4 great-grandchildren, Rachel Rinker, Ryan Rinker, Kai Orr, and Jason N. Bazemore; siblings, Erlene (Tom) Rutan, Jean Middleton, Joyce (Paul) Harris, and Doug (Fran) Sunn; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joyce Harris.
Thomas served in the US Army and was a former member of the Kingsford Heights American Legion Post #297. He worked at Arcelor Mittal Steel Mill for 55 years.
Thomas enjoyed airplanes, gardening, music, computers, playing guitar, and throwing the dice at the casino.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 2 - 4 pm on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Military honors will be conducted promptly at 3 pm by the New Carlisle Honor Guard. Cremation will follow the service.
Due to the recent Governor's Order, anyone attending the visitation and/or service is required to wear a mask.
