Troy William Long, age 38, of Fish Lake passed away on Friday, July 25, 2014 in his home unexpectedly.
Troy was born in La Porte, Indiana, on Oct. 25, 1975 to John H. and Audrey (Peterson) Long. He graduated from La Porte High School and worked for Nova Basement Systems. Troy was a volunteer fireman for Pleasant Township and loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews. Troy loved to hunt, fish and mud bogging. He was a 10 year member of 4-H as well as a member of SAL Post 400.
Troy is survived by his parents, John and Audrey Long of Fish Lake; sister, Kelly (Tim McCoy) Wolff of Fish Lake; brother, Johnny (Wendy) Long of Rolling Prairie; grandparents, Harry and Jenny Peterson of Fish Lake; nephews, Christopher, Cortney, Cody, Matt and Maverick; nieces, Brittani and Jaiden; and great niece, Kinsley.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Margaret and Raymond Long and favorite Uncle Terry Long.
A cremation committal has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Long family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with visitation from 9 a.m. till the time of service.
A time of visitation with the family and friends will be held on Monday, July 28, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
