Trudy A. Carter, 57, of LaPorte and formerly of Michigan City died of natural causes at 9:03 a.m. Thursday (Jan., 29, 2004) at LaPorte Hospital.
The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, with the Rev. Hugh Smith officiating. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Mrs. Carter was born April 10, 1946, in Gary to Al and Betty (Fisher) Jozsi. On May 28, 1966, in Michigan City, she married H.W. Bud Carter, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Scott (Darlene) Carter, Vassalboro, Maine, and Travis (Pamela) Carter, Portage; five grandchildren, Kristan, Tawnia, Krista, Darren and Haley; and one brother, Daniel Jozsi, Tampa, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Carter was an associate at Carson Pierre Scott in Michigan City for several years. She was a 1964 graduate of Stranahan High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and was a volunteer for the Michigan City Humane Society.
