Vail Venita (Dillinger) Kessler

Vail Venita Kessler, 86, of Kingsford Heights, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at La Porte Hospital.

Venita was born on May 23, 1931 in Viola, AR, to James and Tressie (Crotts) Dillinger.

In 1949, she married James Lamb, Sr. and in 1976, she married Edward Kessler; both preceded her in death.  Surviving are her beloved children, James (Jessi) Lamb, Jr. and Lisa (Thomas) King; 10 grandchildren, Erica (Dan Shumaker) Irvin, Chad (Beth Wirtz) King, Megan (Dathan Bennett) King, Aimee (Joe Phelps) Meier, Erin (Rich) Zwick, Patricia Minich, Michelle Minich, Alicia Lamb, Robert Baxley, and Brittany Baxley; 9 great-grandchildren, Addison, Olin, Bella, Blake, Kennedy, Amber, Ashley, Avery, and Ayden; siblings, Daniel (Tina) Dillinger of Searcy, AR, Ronald (Janie) Dillinger of Russellville, AR, and Teresa (Billy) Hacker of Lexa, AR; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents; daughter, Sandra Minich; and 11 siblings, Ray, Roy, Darrel, Loran, Randall, Mary Lou, Annie, Franklin "Bud", Bobby Gene, Wayman, and Larry.

Venita worked as a fabric cutter for Kingsley Furniture and retired in 1991.  Her favorite past times included gardening, flowers and cooking.  Venita's greatest pleasure in life was enjoying time with her family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 PM (CST) on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.  Burial will follow at Kingsbury Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held from 10 AM -1 PM (CST) on Monday at the funeral home.
