Vicky Lynn Gauger

Vicky Lynn Gauger, 68, of Mill Creek, IN, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

Vicky was born on March 17, 1956, in Wausau, WI, to Delores (Page) Wasserford.

On September 14, 1974, in Milwaukee, WI, she married Charles, who survives. Also surviving are her children, Keith Gauger of La Porte and Jennifer (Todd) Conrad of Mill Creek; 4 grandchildren, Trevvor (Sabrina) Moore of La Porte, Nevaeh Gauger of Phoenix, AZ, Lorelei Conrad of Mill Creek, and Rowan Conrad of Mill Creek; great-granddaughter, Rose Moore of La Porte; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Vicky was a homemaker for most of her life. Outside of her home, she enjoyed working at Blue Chip as a black jack dealer and at Quality Farm & Fleet as a cashier.

She enjoyed playing cards, particularly euchre and pinnacle, at the La Porte Senior Center, scrapbooking, and quilting. Vicky generously gave of her time. Her generosity was most evident when she assisted many children with completing their 4-H projects.

When her children were young, Vicky enjoyed volunteering in her children's classroom and at St. John's Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed volunteering at St. John's Thrift Store, assisting with tax preparation for the Salvation Army, and volunteering at the La Porte Senior Center.

Vicky touched many lives with her kindness and generosity. Her friends were blessed by her friendship and support. She had a one-of-kind laugh, treasured by those who loved her. Most importantly, Vicky dearly loved her family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Sam Polito officiating.

A time of visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Cremation will take place following the service.
