Virginia Griffin Reynolds, 92, passed away on January 16, 2014 at Brentwood in La Porte, Indiana.
Ginny was born on May 29, 1921 to Clyde and Stella (Kaiser) Griffin in Springfield, Missouri. She graduated from Senior High School where she was a member of Tau Phi Gamma Sorority.
On August 6, 1939, she married William "Bill" Reynolds and they shared a wonderful life for 64 years.
Ginny was a member of PEO Sorority and Twin Oaks Country Club where she belonged to the Ladies Golf League for many years. She was an avid bridge player and belonged to several bridge groups including duplicate. Ginny loved music and belonged to the Christ Episcopal Church Choir. Bill and Ginny also loved to dance and were members of several dance clubs in Springfield, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, Ida Rustin, and her brother, George Griffin.
She is survived by her two daughters, Becky (Roger) Smith of Branson, Missouri and Judee (F.X.) Gartland of La Porte, Indiana; five grandchildren, Jenny (Britt) Welch, Doug (Amy) Smith, Frank (Rochelle) Gartland, Tim (Katy) Gartland, and Christi (Dan) Strieter; and ten great-grandchildren, Brooke and Nick Jeter, Ellie Smith, Callie, Bennett, Caris, and Keelie Gartland, Owen and Olivia Strieter, and Norah and Natalie Gartland.
Ginny was known for her sense of humor and her positive attitude. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church in Springfield, Missouri at a later date.
