Wanda R. Simmons, 85 years old of LaPorte, Indiana, died Saturday, August 8, 2009 in LaPorte, IN.
She was born April 1, 1924 in Villa Grove, Illinois, Daughter of the late Charles and Golda (Smith) Skidmore.
She was a member of New Buffalo Bible Baptist Women's Missionaries, VFW, Salvation Army, Seniors and the Swanson Center.
Surviving are Daughters, Judy (Fred) Cunningham of LaPorte, IN, Debra L. Archer, OR., Sandra M. Dobes of Eagle River, WI., three step-children, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, sister, Leona of Mesa, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, Fredrick Stevens & Paschal Simmons.
Cutler Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. A Celebration of life service will be held Friday, August 14, 2009 at 6:00 P.M. E.S.T. at the New Buffalo Bible Baptist Church with Rev. James Bouslog officiating.
