Wayne A. Tamlin, 47, of La Porte, passed away on September 25, 2013 at his home.
He was born in Michigan City, Indiana, on October 4, 1965 to George and Sandra Caddo Tamlin.
On July 5, 1986 in Michigan City, he married Tina Walker.
Wayne is a 1984 graduate of Michigan City Rogers High School. He honorably served his country as an Air Force Veteran. He was a proud member of the Indiana Patriot Guard. He was a machinist at Federal Mogul, South Bend, Indiana. He loved riding his motorcycle. A very avid deer hunter, former Assistant Scout Master for Troop 88, First Responder, Cubs Fan, and Nascar enthusiast. Wayne loved being with his grandchildren, especially the time spent with them at the park.
Surviving are his wife, Tina Tamlin of LaPorte; son, Noah Tamlin of LaPorte; grandchildren, Jonah and Shelby Tamlin of LaPorte; parents, George and Sandra Tamlin of LaPorte; sister, Shari (Duane) Breske of Warsaw; brother, Kevin (Migdalia) Tamlin of South Bend; sister, Lisa (Frank) Santiago of North Liberty.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Agape Christian Church, LaPorte, on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 11 AM with Rev. Rodney Nielsen officiating. Full military honors will be held by the LaPorte Honor Guard, at the church, following the service.
A time for viewing will be held at the Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, LaPorte on Sunday, September 29 from 2-6 PM and on Monday at the church from 10 - 11 AM. Cremation will follow the service.
