Willard F. Henning, 88, of LaPorte, IN, died at 4:33 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2004 at LaPorte Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at the Cutler Funeral Home, with Rev. Ron Devenport officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Mill Creek, IN.
He was born October 13, 1915, in LaPorte, IN to Louis & Lilly Belle (Banker) Henning. On December 7, 1940, he married Yolanda Tennis, who preceded him in death. On November 27, 1981, he married Marcella (Schoof) Paul, who survives.
Also surviving are daughters, Diane Holmes and Dixie Paul, both of LaPorte; sons Michael Henning, Rolling Prairie, IN and David Henning, LaPorte; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Norman, Harold, Don and Les, 3 sisters, Geraldine London, Marge Marganti and Florence Williams, and a grandson, Kenneth Paul.
He had worked at Modines for 42 years. He was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church, the Mill Creek Lions Club, the senior bowling league, the Senior Dance Club and had served on the Advisory Board of the LaPorte School Corporation.
