William Howard Hall, 86, of La Porte, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Golden Living Center La Porte.
William was born in Bass Station, IN, on July 27, 1930 to Edward M. and Doris H. (Riggleman) Hall.
On August 21, 1954 in La Porte, IN, he married Doris Sullivan who preceded him in death in 2014. Also preceding him in death were his sons, Lenny Howard Hall and William Greg Hall. Surviving are his beloved children, Rick A. Hall of Seminole, FL, and Tonya K. Gross of Walkerton; and grandchildren, Caroline Hall, Hanna Hall, Madyson Gross, and Dylan Gross.
William served honorably in the US Marine Corps from 1951-1953 during the Korean War. He then served as a Jailer and Processor with the La Porte County Sheriff's Department for 24 years from 1980-2004.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Verlin Combs officiating. Interment will take place following the service at Rolling Prairie Cemetery with full military honors.
A time of visitation will be held from 2-5 PM on Sunday, October 9, 2016 and also from 10 AM until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
