William John Hutchison, loving husband and best friend of Lucy, passed away at 8:23 p.m. on Monday, June 14, 2004 at the Spooner Hospital, Spooner, Wisconsin. He was 68.
He was born October 11, 1935 in Barron County, WI, to Ralph William and Verna Sophia Matilda (Kahl) Hutchison. On November 27, 1970, he married Lucy O'Krey, who survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Verna Hutchison, Beloit, WI; son, William Lonnie Luthey, Beloit; step-daughter, Star Weis, Escondido, CA; brother-in-laws, Jim (Debbie) O'Krey, Jamul, CA and Terry (Becky) O'Krey, LaPorte; and sister-in-law, Patsy (Jed) Runnells, LaPorte; several nieces and nephews and numerous close friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Ralph.
John had retired from Ramsey Sheet Metal and had also taught vocational welding for the Gary School System.
He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and the Moose Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and racing cars. He also liked to work on souped-up tractors.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 25, 2004 at the Cutler Funeral Home with Rev. Dan McDonald officiating. There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place.
