William "Bill" L. Kolash, 93 years old of La Porte, Indiana, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 in IU Health LaPorte Hospital .
He was born February 2, 1918 in Adams, Wisconsin, son of the late William M. Kolash and the late Edith (Jenkins) Kolash.
He married Helen "Lenna" (O'Neill) Kolash on May 23, 1945 in Adams, Wisconsin who preceded him in death in 1993.
Bill was a 50+ year member of LaPorte Presbyterian Church, Rotary Club, and he was a U.S. Army WW II Veteran. Bill volunteered at LaPorte Hospital, Meals on Wheels, Center Township Volunteer Fire Department, and he was a Red Cross blood donor..
He worked as a welder and was a Foreman at Allis Chalmers. Bill was also a maintenance supervisor at Teledyne.
Surviving are 2 daughters: Betty Jo (John W.) Farmer of Dallas, TX and Susan McCarrol of Fort Wayne, IN; 3 grandchildren: John (Marija) Perry Farmer, Sybil McCarrol, Melissa McCarrol; 2 great grandchildren: Samantha Salic, Brianna Farmer; sister: Meredith Reder, Elkhart, IN.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Helen "Lenna" Kolash.
Services will be held at La Porte Presbyterian Church on August 20 at 11AM with the Rev. Sally Wicks officiating.
Interment will follow in the La Porte Presbyterian Church Columbarium.
