William C. "Bill" Schneider, 57 years old of La Porte, IN., died Thursday, January 6, 2011 in LaPorte Hospital
He was born November 12, 1953 in Lakewood OH, Son of the late Charles A. and Teresa J. (Roglin) Schneider.
Bill was a 1976 graduate of Miami of OhioUniversity. He received his Masters Degree from Valdosta Georgia State University in 1980 and he also earned a CPA.
Bill moved to LaPorte in 1991 and worked as Controller for Smurfit Box Plant. He enjoyed everyone he worked with at that plant. When the plant closed he traveled for both Weyerhaeuser and Smurfit-Stone. Shortly after moving to LaPorte in 1991 he joined Countryside Christian Church. He worked as a coach and referee with the LaPorte Soccer Club and the LaPorte YMCA. Bill enjoyed exercising at the YMCA.
Bill was married on May 20, 1978 in Sabina, Ohio to Gina (Coy) Schneider who survives. Also surviving are his children; Beth Schneider of Mishawaka, IN., Ben (Amanda) Schneider of Dayton, OH., Chris Schneider of Altoona, PA., 2 grandsons; Nathan and Andrew Schneider also of Dayton, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be a time of visitation with the family from
1:00 - 4:00 P.M., Saturday, January 15, 2011at Cutler Funeral Home in LaPorte, IN.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 4:00 P.M. at Cutler Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Galloway officiating.
