William Sullivan

William "Bill" Lee Sullivan, 87, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at his home.

William was born on June 11, 1937, in Rolling Prairie, IN, to Eli and Virginia (Reuille) Sullivan.

On March 16, 1959, in La Porte, IN, he married Sandra Bradley who survives. Also surviving are his children, Vicky Gliva, Rhonda Sullivan and Phillip Sullivan, all of La Porte; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a great-grandson; brothers, Edward, Richard and Gerald; and sisters, Juanita and Ruth.

Bill worked as a furniture assembler at Kingsley Furniture for many years. He took great care of his family. Bill enjoyed lotto scratch-offs, puzzles, building bird houses, and watching birds.

Four brothers: Out in the country where the maple trees grow, there were four brothers who lived on old Sullivan road. They built their own little houses all in a row and if you happened to drive by they would all wave hello. When the mailman came like clockwork out to the mailbox they'd go. On a summer day they'd race to get their lawns mowed and when their gardens grew they admired the fruits they sowed. They were the foundation of all we've come to know. They were the special part of our hearts that made us whole. We were so lucky that we got to see them all grow old. They taught us wisdom and we will share the stories they told. There are four brothers who have been reunited on that golden Sullivan road. Finally all together again like they were long ago. Until we meet again.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
