William "98" Drewes

William "98" Drewes, 91, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at his home with his wife by his side.

William was born on April 18, 1931 in La Porte, IN, to Karl and Vera (Wild) Drewes.

On September 19, 1969 in Michigan City, IN, he married Elizabeth Ennis who survives.  Also surviving William are his sons, Karl Shawn (Tami) Drewes, Stephen (Mary) Drewes, and Daniel Drewes; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; as well as nephews, Bob (Sue) Drewes and Jack (Nancy) Drewes.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Melor Drewes; and sister-in-law, Charlotte Drewes.

William was a design engineer for his working career.  He was a member of Faith City Assembly of God, where he was very active.  William will be remembered as a sports enthusiast.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
