Wilma P. (Summitt) Parks

Wilma P. Parks, 97, of La Porte, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at La Porte Hospital.

Wilma was born in Stinesville, IN, on March 30, 1921 to Christian and Dora (Baker) Summitt.

On May 19, 1942 she married Lee Parks who preceded her in death.  Surviving are her beloved children, Jim (Judy) Parks of La Porte, Sherrie Parks of  La Porte; grandchildren, Brett (Shannon) Parks of La Porte, and Krista (Lawrence) Wilke of La Porte.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lee Parks; and siblings, William Summitt, Wanda Hartsaw, Winston Summitt.

Wilma loved her grandchildren, playing guitar, singing, camping, and being a homemaker.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at  11 AM (CT) on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Jeff Zigler officiating. Interment will take place at a Pine Lake Cemetery following the service.

A time of visitation will be held from 5-8 PM (CT) on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center and from  10 AM (CT) until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
