Zachary A. Byers, 23, of La Porte, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at IU Health La Porte Hospital.
Zachary was born in Grand Rapids, MI, on March 24, 1993 to Mark Byers and Sherry (Lower) Curtis.
Zach is survived by his beloved daughter, Lydia Byers; brothers, Mark Byers of La Porte and Tony Carl of Michigan City; sisters, Tara Byers-Paulson of La Porte, Trisha Proctor of Midland, MI, and Danielle Thomas of Whiting, IN; and grandparents, Robert and Vira Lower of La Porte.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Eric and Lydia Byers.
Zachary loved music and playing guitar. He loved being a father to his daughter and spending time with his family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 PM on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at La Porte Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Wayne Morrison and Pastor Ricky Bray A luncheon will follow the service at the church.
A time of visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Monday, February 27, 2017 and also from 11 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday at the La Porte Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1480 Boyd Blvd., La Porte, IN.
