Zola Hazel Carlson, 70, of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 6:35 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2004 at St. Joseph Medical Center in South Bend, Indiana.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14, at Cutler Funeral Home with Brother Joe Culberson officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in the Springville Cemetery.
Hazel was born February 22, 1934, in Burkesville, Kentucky to Marion & Fannie (Booher) Pritchard. On September 2, 1972, in LaPorte, she married Elmer H. Carlson, who preceded her in death on May 9, 1990.
Survivors include daughter Hazel P. Michaud of Hot Springs, AR; 3 grandsons; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters Linda Meadows-VanDusen of South Bend, IN and Betty Grott of Michigan City, IN; and brother Rondel Pritchard of Michigan City, IN.
Her parents, two sisters and 3 brothers preceded her in death.
Hazel had worked at Gateway Industries for many years. In later years, she had worked at the 212 Coffee Shop in Michigan City.
